The Raider Way: Oakland Raiders Will Win AFC West
The Oakland Raiders have been the laughing stock of the NFL for awhile and look to get back to their winning ways this year. Oakland made vast improvements this offseason by drafting Rolando McClain and trading for Jason Campbell. Those two will make both the offense and defense much better this season.
Now, let's get started by how good Jason Campbell will be in Oakland. Last year, he led the NFL in the redzone with 18 touchdowns and an amazing zero interceptions. That could be even better with their running backs Darren McFadden and Michael Bush taking most of the load off of Campbell. This offense for Oakland could be top 15 in the NFL.
Then we get to the defense for the Oakland Raiders. They traded Kirk Morrison to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they now have Rolando McClain in the middle of the defense. They also have one of the best defensive ends in the NFL, Richard Seymour. Don't forget about one of the best cornerbacks in the league Nnamdi Asomugha who I think is still better then Darrelle Revis. The Oakland Raiders defense looks like a tough one to break this season.
The AFC West looks to be wide open this season with the San Diego Chargers championship window closing faster then expected. Oakland finally has a team that could make noise in the NFL. Kansas City is too young and hired Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel which will take at least a year to get used to. Denver traded Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins this off-season and look to be in the cellar of the AFC West in 2010. San Diego lost Ladanian Tomlinson to the Jets and Vincent Jackson looks to hold out until week 10 this year. I see San Diego missing the playoffs this season.
Here are my game by game predictions for the Oakland Raiders this season.

I have the Oakland Raiders going 10-6 this season behind a balanced offense and improved defense. I see Tom Cable winning NFL Coach of The Year award and Nnamdi Asomugha winning the NFL Defensive Player of The Year award.
I see Oakland's magical year coming to an end in the Wildcard Round against the number five seed New England Patriots in Oakland. The Raiders won't be a laughing matter for a long time after this season. This could be the start of an AFC West championship dynasty in Oakland for years to come.
