Ekpe Udoh is a shot blocker, scorer, and rebounder. He is the exact player the Indiana Pacers need.

Udoh would start over Troy Murphy at power forward, because I expect the Pacers to trade Murphy for draft picks or role players before the draft.

Udoh is the player the Pacers have always looked for. He fills a huge need on defense the Pacers need to address. Ekpe was a force at Baylor last year and almost had a triple-double against Duke in the Elite Eight.

The Pacers will also consider Hassan Whiteside, Xavier Henry, and Ed Davis with the #10 pick. The only thing bad about all three of these prospects is youth. The Pacers never draft freshman or sophmores in the draft.

Udoh is an upper classman and can start at power forward or small forward if Danny Granger gets injured. I would prefer Udoh over Murphy if you ask me. Udoh is like a younger clone of Murphy.

Ekpe Udoh with Danny Granger and Roy Hibbert would be a great frontcourt for the Pacers. Udoh and Granger would be the scorers while Hibbert does all of the dirty work in the paint.

Could that frontcourt lead the Pacers to the playoffs? I think the Pacers can break out of the playoff slump and finally make it with Ekpe Udoh.
