Kevin Durant was simply amazing last year. He brought the Thunder to the playoffs, but lost to the Lakers in the first round.
Durant has Jeff Green and Russell Westbrook by his side, but needs one more star to take the Thunder deep into the playoffs next year.
One star that is an upcoming free agent and the type of player the Thunder need is David Lee. Lee was a force scoring and rebounding for the Knicks last year. Lee would be a massive upgrade over Nenad Kristic.
Durant and Lee would a force in the frontcourt for the Thunder. I think if Lee came that would put the Thunder into the Western Conference Finals next year. I know it's a bold prediction, but it could happen.
The signing of David Lee would put the Thunder at the #4 seed in the playoffs next year.
When you think about it, the Lakers are getting old and I think this is the last year the Lakers are in the finals for awhile. Also, if LeBron James doesn't come to the Western Conference, there is a great chance for the Thunder in 2011.
If the Thunder don't sign David Lee or a max free agent big man, I feel the Thunder won't make the the 2nd round for a few years.
